‘But if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need’ – the rolling stones
This year, thanks to my parents, I was lucky enough to get away to sunny spain for 10 days. Otherwise my poor boyfriend and I would have had to survive another summer here without having the funds to afford a nice break. We bought a house last year so I don’t think it would have been a wise decision to head away. Having a mortgage means that we need to be extra careful with our expenses. We aren’t the kind of people to spend what we can’t afford!
We stayed just outside a little town, close to Benidorm called Villajoyosa. The town seafront was beautiful with lots of apartments and restaurants. The apartments actually reminded me a little of Paris, quaint and artistic! We stayed in a private villa and rented out a car. I would definitely recommend getting a villa but I wouldn’t recommend driving. I’m a nervous passenger and Spanish drivers are pretty scary. It’s survival of the fittest out there.
I loved getting away from it all and enjoying a nice, relaxing break (apart from the scary driving bit). There’s nothing better than chilling out by the pool with a good book. Relaxing the body and fuelling the mind. Of course, as usual I packed way more than I needed to. Don’t know why as I always end up wearing the same things again and again. I wore this Primark Rolling Stones playsuit a number of times as it’s comfortable, lightweight and easy to style. I teamed it with my primark tassel bag and favourite new look sandals. A nice casual outfit for heading to the markets or hitting the shops.

As always I would love it if you could follow Forever Scarlet on bloglovin. It would be great to see how many people are actually reading and liking my blog!
I’ve a few blog posts coming up featuring my holiday outfits so stay tuned to see my holiday essentials and a snippet of what I was up to while I was away. 🙂
