In case you’ve forgotten, Mother’s Day is this Sunday the 6th March. If like me you tend to leave things until the last minute, luckily I’ve put together a few little gift ideas to inspire and celebrate the most important person in your life, the one who brought you into this world…your mum.
First up, we have this cute little african violet owl planter. I was taken by the beautiful colour combination and it’s quirky appeal. At only £4 from Marks & Spencer, it’s the perfect little filler present to add to her gift box.
I’m a big fan of motivating and inspiring quotes. I think it’s important to have little hanging pictures like this in your home to help you when you’re feeling low and to generally lift your mood. This one from Primark makes such a lovely gift for a very special mother. At only £3 it’s an absolute bargain and it looks great on an Ikea picture shelf.
You can’t go wrong with a candle and this one from Primark would make a lovely addition to your mum’s living room. It smells amazing, the colour is bold and punchy and it only costs £3. Another great Primark find!
Following on from the candle theme, there are few people out there who don’t like Yankee Candle. They can be a little bit pricey, but the fragrances are amazing and they last for ages. Seeing as Mother’s Day is drawing nearer, the company has of course released a few beautifully packaged gifts, ready and waiting to be popped into a gift bag. Minimal effort required.
I loved the look of this wax tart burner as it’s got a subtle pastel 2 tone effect, so it’s perfect for mums who like a soft, pretty home interior. At only £8 for the burner and wax tart, I think it’s another great gift bag filler.
Mums are super busy human beings. They juggle careers with babies, cooking, cleaning and countless other tasks, so they deserve some R&R every once in a while. Give them the gift of pampering this Mother’s Day with these cute Soap & Glory bath and body set, £12. I’m a big fan of their products and I only ever use their body butter and body scrub. I’ve tried other products, but they never quite live up the mark.
I had been patiently waiting for ‘The Dressmaker’ film to come out for many months last year. When I saw that it was released in Australia at the same time we were there, I thought why not watch an aussie film down under.
I adored the film for it’s back story of murder, prejudice and hatred mixed in with beautiful couture fashion. The Dressmaker novel is a bestseller and would make a great gift for any bookworm mums. Perfect bedtime reading.
Have a lovely Mother’s Day. Xo
