I’ve never been a big fan of pink. I don’t mind little hints here and there, but I’m certainly not a Paris Hilton hot pink, barbie pink, bling bling pink kind of girl. Head to toe pink just reminds me of a playboy bunny, too overtly girly and oozing what some might say a stereotypical blonde airhead style.
With the massive trend of rose gold jewellery, stationery, homewares, makeup and so on, I have found myself a bit more of an advocate of the girly hue. Pale pinks and rose blushes are more my cup of tea. They aren’t OTT and they don’t make me feel like I need to wear a push up bra and carry a little chihuahua around in a Louis Vuitton handbag. I’m embracing the pink, but only in it’s lightest shades.
Shop dixi can do no wrong in my eyes. I love their bohemian styles, precious gems and strong 90s inspiration. If you believe in the power of crystals (which my analytical brain has to refute), then you may well know that Rose Quartz is supposed to carry the energy of compassion, peace, tenderness and healing. I just think it looks nice on a choker necklace.
I think the style of this coat is absolutely timeless and very versatile. I can picture myself wearing this to work with jeans and boots or wearing over a nice dress and minimal strappy heels. The pale shade means that it will go with a broad colour palette and won’t overpower an outfit.
If you haven’t seen or heard of the Happiness Planner then you may as well have been living under a rock. This is quite possibly the most instagrammed organiser/planner of this year. Every high profile blogger/youtuber has one and I’m desperate to get my hands on one. However, it’s the price tag that’s holding me back.
I actually already have this in my perfume collection and I can confirm that the scent is just as lovely and as pretty as it’s appearance, as is the case with all of the L’Occitane women’s perfumes. It’s fresh and light with a mix of floral and fruity notes. This is the kind of perfume that’s great for everyday use but also perfect for a dinner date or an evening out.
I recently purchased a Zoeva eyeshadow palette and I’m highly impressed with the pigment, range of colours and value for money. The brand is well known amongst the beauty blogger community and I can see why. I’ve yet to try out their brushes, but when I stumbled across this beauty I thought that it would make a great addition to my makeup drawer.
What do you think of pale pinks and rose blush hues? Yay or nay?
