West Coast Cooler Fashion Week is nearly upon us and I for one cannot wait to get pampered and preened, perched at the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating the next trend setting and wardrobe inspiring outfit to emerge onto the catwalk.
Although I do love a good Summer season, Autumn/Winter just pips it to the post with it’s cosy styles, rich berry shades, plush velvet and cute little ankle boots. There are trends that will pop up every AW, but they will usually be reinvented, switched up and styled in a new light, for the new season. I can already see the faux fur look has been given a bit of a twist, incorporating bright colours and shorter lengths.
As mentioned in my post title, I will most likely rock up in the hottest colour of the season, red. It will either be an outfit saturated with red tones, or I will at least add a few red accessories here and there to give a nod to the colour concept.
The high street show (which I will be attending this year) will open with a fantastic collection of lingerie by Victoria Square’s Boux Avenue as well as a Debenhams’ Designers at Debenhams showcase, including some special pieces from Julien McDonald, Henry Holland and John Rocha. And after some affordable fashion by George, the style team will also show the top picks from the very best of online and the high street including TopShop, Zara, ASOS & Boohoo as well as French Connection, Oasis, Jigsaw & Karen Millen, among others.
High street fashion is just getting bigger and better every year, with some beautiful and extremely affordable pieces that add a bit of fun and vivality into dreary weekdays. I do find designer shows very inspiring, but I like watching the high street show to find out what items I can purchase, that fall into my stringent budget.
I’m looking forward to a much needed catch up and cocktails with my blogger pals and stylish girlies! xo
